TomTom Brand Experience IFA 2016
Navigate. Discover. Conquer. Once you’ve used them, you’ll never want to do without. TomTom’s award-winning navigation and fitness products are the ideal companions – whether you’re out driving your car, lorry, motorbike or scooter, or whether you need an activity tracker for running, cardio, golf or other outdoor sports. And Service Factory ensured that they were presented in the very best light at the IFA 2016.
A total of seven new products were unveiled at the world’s most important consumer electronics exhibition. The highlights included the TomTom Touch fitness tracker and the TomTom VIO scooter navigation device.
How do you turn the presentation of these products into a real experience? And how do you create clear orientation for visitors? These two essential questions were taken as the basis for developing the exhibition stand. It needed to look modern, futuristic, technical, linear and clean, but also appealing and inviting. The result: a stand design that was spot on.
The presentation of the stand concept was met with great enthusiasm – and it was even greater when the stand went live at the IFA. Thanks to its clearly structured division into individual product areas, visitors were able to find their way around intuitively, and they liked the atmosphere of openness. Meanwhile, separate meeting areas and a lounge provided space for private discussions.
But it wasn’t just the stand design that stood out – the basic idea behind it was also perfectly aligned with the brand. The overarching theme was ‘digital traces’, with a core emphasis on GPS as the connecting element for all TomTom products. With every step we take, we leave behind a trace, a digital footprint. If all of these traces are combined, they create a map of our life – both our future and our past. In this way, a large, completely interconnected network of routes emerges – the digital traces of a mobile society. And TomTom shows how we can find our way in it.
We are certain that, thanks to its IFA 2016 stand, TomTom itself left behind several deep impressions that visitors will remember for a long time to come.

“This year is the third time we’re working with Service Factory on TomTom’s IFA exhibition stand. Every year the project gets better and better. We are delighted with this year’s stand design, and we’ve also had excellent feedback from our headquarters.
Of course, at every exhibition there are always last-minute tasks that need to be dealt with on the spot. Finding a solution for difficult problems like these is definitely one of Service Factory’s strengths.”
